About the role
You will shape the living part of our landscapes: the planting plans, restoration specifications and field care that decide whether a site thrives. Much of your time will be split between the studio and active restoration sites across the New York region.
What you will do
Develop planting plans and restoration specifications for wetland, meadow and woodland sites
Plan and oversee invasive species removal and establishment care
Run multi-year monitoring of vegetation and habitat against baseline targets
Work with nurseries and growers on native plant sourcing
Contribute field data to the studio's research and publications
What you bring
A degree in ecology, restoration ecology, horticulture or landscape architecture
3+ years of experience with native plant communities of the Northeast
Comfort doing field work in all seasons
Experience with monitoring protocols and basic data analysis
